Proposed Parks and Parkways.

Boston Park Commissioners. The first official plan for a Boston park system, it serves as the basis for the Emerald Necklace subsequently implemented by Frederick Law Olmsted. Alex Krieger and Lisa Green call it, “A milestone for Boston and for American city planning.” The plan is today owned by the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
